Backed by BNZ, the company is building national capability to recover lithium batteries, critical metals, and minerals - supporting NZ’s electrification and decarbonisation. Mind the gap: updated toolkit for business

The Ministry for Women has updated its Gender Pay Gap Toolkit supporting businesses to address pay gaps in their organisations. Originally launched in November 2024, the Ministry says feedback has helped identify focus areas and share new tools and resources that provide businesses with practical support to measure and address pay gaps more effectively. Net-zero farm progress

Fonterra and Nestlé have released updates on their pilot net-zero dairy farm in Waikato. The project focuses on reducing emissions through improved feed, effluent management, and energy efficiency, aiming to create a scalable model for sustainable dairy. Since its first season in 2021/22, the farm has reduced its emissions intensity by 9.5% and absolute emissions by 23.5%. Full details here.

   

How Coca-Cola is looking to the future in New Zealand

A new article explores how Coca-Cola Europacific Partners is investing in circular solutions, reducing emissions, and supporting local communities as it works to realise its vision to deliver beverages responsibly, while driving progress toward a low-carbon, waste-free future for Aotearoa NZ. “We have a responsibility to minimise our footprint on the planet and our communities,” says Managing Director Wendy Rayner.

   

Boosting NZ’s green economy through trade – call for submissions

MFAT has launched negotiations with Chile and Singapore on the innovative Green Economy Partnership Agreement (GEPA), to unlock trade opportunities in the global green economy. GEPA will cover environmental and low-carbon goods and services, green standards alignment, sustainable finance, carbon and nature credits, and more. Become a certified Planetary Accounting Practitioner
