RFP: Development of introduction to sustainability training 

As business sustainability action continues to grow, SBC members are increasingly looking to upskill others across their business on the basics of sustainability. We are looking to partner with another organisation to develop a one-day, face-to-face training course and associated materials that can be delivered to SBC member businesses on a paid-for basis. Spark and Genesis enter into 10-year renewables agreement

Genesis Energy and Spark New Zealand have announced a 10-year renewable energy partnership, under which all electricity generated by Genesis’ solar farm in Canterbury will be purchased by Spark, making a significant contribution towards Spark’s Science Based Target of a 56% reduction in Scope 1-2 emissions by 2030. Great to see members going further, faster, together!

KPMG releases report on economic cost of workplace bullying

In Counting the Cost, a report developed and recently released by KPMG in collaboration with the Human Rights Commission, it is estimated that the economic cost of workplace bullying and harassment on New Zealand employers is at least $1.34 billion annually. This is the first time these costs have been estimated for New Zealand. Read the full report here.

ASB joins the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Programme

ASB has become the first bank in New Zealand to join the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower programme, a not-for-profit initiative that enables customers with a non-visible disability to use a discreet cue to signal they might need extra support. "It’s a really important conversation that we’re proud to support, to help make ASB an inclusive space for all of our customers."

CLC Masterclass Series: How can climate action plans support the restoration of nature?

Join us for our May Masterclass where we will look at the role of nature in climate action. Nature plays a critical role in mitigating and helping us to adapt to a changing climate.
